“The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page.”
I’m a 26 year old writer living in Los Angeles, and this is The Second Page. I write about books I’ve read, places I’ve traveled, races I’ve run, the trials + triumphs of being in my twenties, mental health, and everything in between.
Born and raised in Boston, I moved to California in April 2017 with a one-way plane ticket, no job, and the persistent belief that things would work out. Now I work in nonprofit communications and take way too many photos of palm trees.
Yes, Los Angeles is great and very expensive, and no, I don’t see celebrities every day – except for the time Victoria Beckham cut in front of me at Salt & Straw. I carry my bullet journal everywhere I go and attend way too many concerts. In my spare time, I train for marathons, read a lot, and sing (loudly and poorly) to boyband hits.
Some of my favorite blog posts include the top ten books I read in 2017, my recap of the 2018 LA Marathon, and my recap of living in LA for one full year.
I’m currently working on my first novel.
