This weekend was the perfect mix of doing nothing and doing everything. I took three naps, I started and finished two books, I watched five movies, and I went out to breakfast, to a museum and to the beach. It was a pretty perfect weekend.
Friday I worked a half day, and then I came home and napped. I watched Ladybird and Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants that night while working on editing photos for my Week in the Life project.
Saturday I went to see Booksmart and it was incredible. You have to see it. I haven’t laughed so hard at a movie in a long, long time. It was the perfect mix of friendship and adventure and reality, and it felt so real. It really felt like the two lead girls were best friends. If you’re looking for a new movie to watch, I highly encourage you to go see it.
On Sunday I broke away from the tv for a bit to go to out to breakfast with friends. We went to Huckleberry in Santa Monica, and it was incredible. After that we went to the Getty Villa and then on a spontaneous drive north, ending at the ocean. It was so nice and relaxing to get out of LA for a bit.
Yesterday I spent most of the day at home watching Game of Thrones (I’m now on season 5) and cleaning. I also started plotting the novel I’ve been dreaming up since January! It feels like a big step. Lots of thoughts + hopes about this.
The light effects on Huji are really wild this week. Rolling with it.
